St. Thomas Sunday in Lowesville, VA

Today is St. Thomas Sunday.

At Central Church, in Lowesville, VA, we are endeavoring to appreciate the struggles which we all face. Oftentimes, we even struggle with our faith. If you have ever struggled to believe, you are not alone.

Thomas is permanently labeled a “doubter” by two millennia of history books, sermons, cartoons and theological treatises in the Christian tradition. A cartoon by Joshua Harris has Thomas crying out, “All I’m saying is we don’t call Peter ‘Denying Peter.’”

We invite you to join one Sunday at Central Church, in Lowesville, VA!

Blessings & peace, Pastor Gary Anderson

The Time Which We Have Been Given

It is my prayer that we would search for ways to do the things that would be the best use of the time which we have been given. May we pursue worthy goals wherein peace is present.

Blessings & peace from Pastor Gary Anderson at Central in Lowesville, Virginia.

Sunday of the Fifth Week of Lent.

We are all fallible. It’s why we need Jesus. The Lenten season is an opportunity for us to practice preparing ourselves for Easter by leaning into the discipline of sacrifice. However, the harder we try, the more we realize that we continue to struggle. Christianity is the only religion which is not about trying harder but trusting in the God that has already paid the price. God loves you no matter where you have been or what you have done.

He can turn our mess into a message. Trust Him today.

-Kindest regards, pastor Gary
